May 7th to 9th, 2018, Miami, USA. OSG was invited to participate in the PRISM International Summit 2018. Information management leaders from around the globe shared ideas and panel sessions covered important developments on data protection, privacy and legal trends within the records management industry. PRISM members identified several technological trends that continue to impact on our industry. These trends include the increase in digital records, the rise in cyberattacks, migration of data to the cloud and improvements to scanning technology. The panel comprised of Paul Kearns, Kefron; Chris Kelley, COR365; and Andrew Ysasi, Kent Record Management. They discussed technology advances, new opportunities, and consequences for information and document management professionals.
Rich Gadomski, FUJIFILM provided an intriguing seminar on the recent increase in demand for tape storage for company backups. It is being fueled by unrelenting data growth, significant technological advancements, and the growing regulatory and business requirements to maintain access to data “forever.” The innovation, compelling value proposition and new development activities demonstrate tape technology is not sitting still.
Conrad Gibbons, Group Marketing Director OSG Records Management commented: “The PRISM Summit is a valuable event in our calendar. It is a window to network with other market leaders and set new directions for the industry. We continually look for ways to develop our services to meet the changing needs of our clients.”
